The Pre-Health Science program is a one-year Ontario College Certificate designed for students seeking entry into advanced diploma or degree programs. This curriculum covers essential subjects related to health professions at Fanshawe, equipping learners with foundational knowledge for their future healthcare careers. Through the Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced Diplomas and Degrees, participants explore core health-related subjects while developing an understanding of professional responsibilities and academic expectations in healthcare fields.
This program specifically aims to ready students for their selected health profession studies. Graduates will be well-prepared to continue their education within Fanshawe's School of Health Sciences or at other academic institutions.
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, or mature applicant with the following courses (note: courses at the college level and grade 11 math at any level require a 65% minimum final grade)
- Grade 12 English (C or U)
- Grade 12 Math (C or U) or Grade 11 Math (U or M, college level not accepted)
- One science course from:
- Grade 11 or 12 Biology
 - Grade 11 or 12 Chemistry
- Grade 11 or 12 Physics
- Grade 12 Introductory Kinesiology (U)
TOEFL iBT: 79
IELTS Academic: Overall score of 6.0 with no score less than 5.5 in any of the four bands
CAEL: Overall score of 60 with no score less than 50 in any of the four bands. score of 80 in listening
PTE Academic: 53
Cambridge English: Overall score of 169 with no language skill less than 162
ESL4/GAP5: Minimum grade of 80% in Level 8, 75% in Level 9, or 70% in Level 10
Duolingo: Overall score of 105, with no score lower than 95
