This Pre-health Sciences preparatory course helps you cultivate essential personal, professional, and academic skills for lifelong success in your education and career. You'll engage with math, chemistry, physics, and biology concepts through practical work in Georgian College's state-of-the-art labs. The program introduces various healthcare career paths, their educational prerequisites, professional duties, and approaches to promoting equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging. You'll also enhance your problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and communication techniques.
Participants acquire crucial academic experience and understanding of what it takes to thrive in college-level coursework. Additionally, you may qualify for transfer credits toward future college programs with the post-secondary credits earned.
Upon completion, graduates are well-equipped to pursue advanced healthcare and medical science studies through diploma or degree programs. Be aware that each program maintains specific GPA standards, and finishing the Pre-health Sciences program doesn't ensure admission to other academic pathways.
OSSD or equivalent with
Mature students, non-secondary school applicants (19 years or older), and home school applicants may also be considered for admission. Eligibility may be met by applicants who have taken equivalent courses, upgrading, completed their GED, and equivalency testing.
