Tailored for graduates with an Ontario College Diploma in Social Service Worker (SSWK), this specialized accelerated pathway enables direct entry into semester four of the Honours Bachelor in Community Mental Health program. Combining theoretical foundations, research methodologies, and practical applications, students will complete a required 14-week, 420-hour field placement, seamlessly connecting academic learning with professional practice. Upon completion, graduates will possess both the theoretical understanding and practical competencies needed for diverse community mental health positions, including case management, crisis intervention, mental health education, addiction counseling, housing advocacy, peer support services, and youth residential care.
