Hands-on learning experience
The four-year Bachelor of Therapeutic Recreation degree equips you with skills to assess, design, deliver, and review diverse leisure programs for those facing participation challenges. These programs may involve creative arts, movement activities, musical experiences, athletic pursuits, recreational games, water-based activities, and community excursions. Your classroom knowledge comes to life through practical placements and community initiatives, allowing you to gain real-world experience working with clients across healthcare and social service environments.

High school graduation OR 19 years of age by the end of the first month of studies in the semester of entry to Douglas College.
Minimum overall grade average of 60% (or equivalent) in the final year of high school.
