In the Professional Theatre (Acting) Program, students receive comprehensive training to become working actors. You'll practice in specialized rehearsal studios and perform in a contemporary theater, gaining experience for both screen and stage performances. Alumni frequently secure roles as theater performers, in cinematic productions, and within voice acting sectors. Some continue their education in university programs focusing on dramaturgy, drama therapy, or advanced theater studies. Throughout the program, you'll experience live performances by Montreal's professional theater troupes and learn from active industry professionals who will guide you in effectively promoting your talents. Additionally, you'll participate in five full-scale productions at Dawson College's state-of-the-art theater facility, which features advanced audio systems, a costume department, and set construction workshops.
