Dalhousie University's Biological Engineering Program provides diverse specialization areas including biological waste management, biorobotics, agricultural engineering, aquacultural engineering, food processing systems, sustainable energy solutions, greenhouse energy efficiency, and environmental pollution control. The MASc and PhD programs combine thesis research with four academic courses and participation in graduate seminars. The MEng professional degree offers two pathways: either five additional courses beyond the MASc requirements plus seminar participation, or three extra courses combined with both seminar attendance and a capstone project.

Applicants must have

  • Four-year Bachelor‚Äôs degree
  • Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 (B average) in the last 60 credit hours of study
  • Degree granted by university of recognized standing

  • MELAB: 85
  • IELTS: 7
  • CAEL: 70 with no band score lower than 60
  • Dalhousie College of Continuing Education (CCE): A-
  • Pearson English Test PTE Academic: overall score of 65 and nothing below 54
