This distinctive program is a collaborative effort between Dalhousie's Faculty of Health (School of Health and Human Performance) and the Faculty of Management. Upon completing five years, students earn dual degrees: a Bachelor of Science (Recreation) and a Bachelor of Management. Graduates gain essential business expertise and recreation management capabilities to launch rewarding careers in the expanding recreation and leisure services sector.

Dalhousie's Recreation Management program holds the distinction of being Canada's sole Recreation program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Parks, Recreation, Tourism, and Related Professions (COAPRT). Qualification Requirements

Students must have

  • Completion of secondary school (Grade 12)
  • A minimum overall average of 70% in five academic Grade 12 courses
  • A final grade of at least 70% in Grade 12 academic English and any other required subject.

English language requirement:

  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - 237 (computer-based) 90 (iBT) and no lower than 20 in each band
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - 6.5 overall and no lower than 6.0 in each band
  • Michigan English Test (MELAB) ‚Äì 55
  • Pearson Test of English (Academic) - 61 overall and no lower than 50 in each skill
