Health promotion focuses on enhancing the wellness of individuals and communities. This distinctive Canadian program admits just 40 students annually to cultivate a tight-knit, skilled cohort of health promotion professionals. You'll collaborate closely during the program and continue working together in communities after completing your studies.
The Health Promotion curriculum provides diverse specialized courses to equip you for a rewarding career. Your first year includes foundational courses from the School of Health and Human Performance, along with interdisciplinary studies in Computer Science, Statistics, Anatomy, Sociology, and Physiology.
Following your first year, you'll select either the Community Health Promotion or Research and Policy specialization. The program culminates with a 14-week practical internship, offering valuable real-world experience beyond traditional classroom learning.
