At Dalhousie's Biology program, you'll explore the physical and biological mechanisms influencing genes, cells, organisms, populations, species, and complete ecosystems. Tailoring to your passions, you might master identifying native flowering plants or embark on marine expeditions to research minke and humpback whales. Your studies will span from basic plant and animal forms to highly sophisticated organisms.
Dalhousie provides the most extensive range of biology courses in Atlantic Canada. You'll delve into specialized areas including cellular biology, evolutionary processes, ecological systems, wildlife conservation, parasitology, animal behavior studies, physiological systems, and numerous other fields. Qualification Requirements

Students must have

  • Completion of secondary school (Grade 12)
  • A minimum overall average of 70% in five academic Grade 12 courses
  • A final grade of at least 70% in Grade 12 academic English and any other required subject.

  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - 237 (computer-based) 90 (iBT) and no lower than 20 in each band
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - 6.5 overall and no lower than 6.0 in each band
  • Michigan English Test (MELAB) ‚Äì 55
  • Pearson Test of English (Academic) - 61 overall and no lower than 50 in each skill
