This innovative curriculum expands upon its forerunner, the Bachelor of Public Relations program. Designed to address industry needs, this comprehensive business degree prepares graduates to become skilled communication professionals with strong business understanding. Communications management involves strategically coordinating and supervising communication channels to maintain an organization's reputation and stakeholder relationships. Professionals in this field specialize in areas like social media coordination, internal communications, public relations, financial communications, promotional messaging, online marketing, and fundraising. The career requires excellent writing, speaking, and digital communication abilities, along with strategic problem-solving skills to address organizational challenges. Throughout this program, students undertake two paid four-month co-op placements to gain practical experience. The curriculum features hands-on learning opportunities such as organizing fundraising initiatives, working with actual clients through a student-run agency, and completing a culminating real-world project.
