This program equips students with essential management training to thrive in the fast-evolving food and agribusiness sectors. Grounded in economic principles and practical applications within both Canadian and international settings, the curriculum develops graduates' technical expertise, entrepreneurial abilities, and leadership qualities for diverse roles across private industry, government bodies, and NGOs. The major also establishes a solid academic base for pursuing advanced degrees or professional accounting certifications.
A key objective of the Food and Agricultural Business Co-op program is to bridge academic learning with professional work experience, helping students combine theoretical knowledge with real-world application.
The Department of Food, Agricultural and Resource Economics within the Ontario Agricultural College oversees this major, and students are encouraged to seek guidance from the faculty advisor.
