Earning a Master's in Philosophy enables you to grapple with humanity's most profound questions, including: the foundations of knowledge, logical reasoning, moral conduct, human rights, worldwide fairness, and our connection with nature. Philosophy's core mission involves creating conceptual models and methodologies to tackle essential inquiries about existence, meaning, and understanding. Concordia's program explores these themes through various approaches: analytical philosophy, philosophical history, continental thought, and cross-cultural philosophical comparisons. Our scholars investigate subjects ranging from international equity and Kant's metaphysical theories to scientific principles, humility studies, ethical philosophies of Merleau-Ponty and Levinas, and complex logical systems. Graduates are exceptionally prepared for PhD programs, with numerous alumni currently holding academic positions globally. Regardless of your career trajectory, our philosophy MA provides indispensable tools: enhanced critical thinking and analytical abilities, combined with deep historical insight into intellectual traditions.
