The Master of Arts in Media Studies enhances your expertise in modern media culture, its evolution, and theoretical foundations. Cutting-edge technologies and digital platforms shape how we understand the world and our role within it. As both creators and audiences of diverse media, we engage in an ecosystem that empowers specific voices while marginalizing others. In today's climate, there's growing demand for scholars and practitioners who can critically analyze media's societal, political, and cultural impacts. This interdisciplinary program blends humanities, liberal arts, social sciences, and artistic disciplines. Students thrive within a vibrant research community driven by numerous faculty projects, exploring specialized areas like gaming culture, gender studies in media, and First Nations artistic expression.
