Graduates emerge with mastery of both technical skills and contemporary artistic thinking. We actively promote cross-disciplinary work and investigation of modern concerns including environmental responsibility, cultural identity, artisanal practices, and technological innovation. No prior textile experience is necessary - foundation courses provide all essential technique training.

Admission to most programs is based on portfolio/audition evaluations as well as academic grades. Applicants selected for admission have normally achieved grades that exceed minimum requirements.
English language requirements: Direct Admission: TOEFL (paper-based) score between 540 and 576. Conditional Admission: TOEFL (paper-based) score between 505 and 539; MELAB minimum score of 74, 2 on speaking tests; CAEL minimum score of 50; CAE minimum score of C; CPE (advanced qualification for proficient users only) minimum score of C.
