The Bachelor of Fine Arts with a Ceramics major provides comprehensive training in vessel creation, sculptural works, and architectural ceramics. Throughout the program, you'll investigate how design, materials, color, processes, and techniques interconnect. By studying both historical and modern ceramic practices, along with their connections to other fields like fine art, design, and architecture, you'll cultivate a well-rounded artistic viewpoint. Our ceramics department boasts exceptional facilities, including five high-performance Blaauw kilns, diverse potter's wheels, computerized ConeArt kilns, a powerful 54-ton Ram press, a complete glaze preparation area, and other specialized equipment - all housed at our scenic Port Campus.
