Concordia's interdisciplinary Film Animation program offers comprehensive training in the craft of imaginative, independent frame-by-frame film production. Our Fine Arts-focused animation curriculum, led by globally recognized faculty-artists, fosters creative exchange, groundbreaking approaches, and artistic exploration.

Students acquire essential skills in motion principles, stop-motion techniques, camera-based animation, visual storytelling, illustration, animated nonfiction, audio design for animation, innovative compositing, and other unique methods. You'll complete the program with both the creative expertise and professional rigor to produce festival-quality animated works, analyze your creations thoughtfully, and engage with Montreal's vibrant network of independent animation artists and the global community.
