Shape tomorrow's world. Discover the wonder and curiosity of childhood through a young learner's perspective. As a teacher, you'll guide children and encourage them to investigate their environment. A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education provides the academic groundwork for instructing students from ages two through twelve.

Through a program blending academic concepts with practical experience, you'll observe seasoned educators and lead classes during your teaching practicum. You'll complete fundamental education coursework while selecting specialized classes in values education, foreign languages, and social and natural sciences. Additionally, you'll: Analyze Canadian social policies affecting youth and families. Explore the physical, emotional, and cognitive growth patterns of children aged two to twelve. Investigate educational psychology and teaching philosophies. Master instructional techniques for first and second languages, mathematics, and social studies

Field placements will occur across preschool, kindergarten, and elementary grade levels. The program focuses extensively on developmental milestones. Understanding how children mature physically and mentally allows educators to address their requirements more effectively. To support this approach, teaching practicums advance from early childhood settings to upper elementary classrooms.
