Enhance a child's growth through stimulating activities that spark their curiosity. Our comprehensive program blends academic learning with hands-on experience, equipping you with essential skills to: support children's physical, emotional, mental, cognitive and educational growth, comprehend their place within family, community and cultural environments, and address the needs of children and families across preschool, inclusive and community education settings.

Upon completing the program with practical training and diverse competencies, you'll qualify for recognition by Quebec's Ministre de la Famille to work in early childhood environments. Alumni have pursued careers as educational assistants in inclusive schools or rehabilitation centers. A Child Studies degree also provides excellent preparation for advanced training or graduate programs in education, occupational therapy, social work, school psychology, speech-language pathology and related disciplines.

The BA in Child Studies curriculum includes foundational courses on educational approaches, covering child development theories and topics concerning physical, emotional, mental, cognitive and academic growth within family, community and inclusive frameworks. Students can specialize through focused coursework and practical placements in two concentrations: Early Childhood Education, and Special Needs and Diversity in Childhood Environments
