The Post-Baccalaureate Diplomas in Art History and Architectural History & Theory offer preparatory training for students aiming to enter the MA program in Art and Architectural History but lack adequate prior academic exposure to these subjects. These diploma programs cater to high-achieving students (maintaining at least a B average or 8.0 GPA on Carleton's 12-point scale), usually holding undergraduate degrees in fields other than Art History or Architectural History & Theory, who demonstrate serious interest in pursuing graduate-level studies in these disciplines.

Qualification Requirements

Admission to this Post-Baccalaureate Diploma requires the permission of the History and Theory of Architecture program. Normally, students would be required to have completed an undergraduate degree with a minimum B average or higher. Applications will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
