The Department of Classics and Religious Studies, part of the Faculty of Arts, provides a graduate program culminating in a Master of Arts degree in Classical Studies. This program focuses primarily on one key area: Late Antiquity (200-700 A.D.).

This program's goal is to equip students for advanced research in Late Antiquity, a crucial bridge between ancient and medieval times. Students can also study Coptic, Syriac, and Ethiopic languages alongside traditional Latin and Greek. Participants will gain comprehensive foundational knowledge suitable for continuing toward PhD studies.

The curriculum is designed to enhance analytical and academic abilities while expanding graduates' expertise in specific domains. The research methodologies, logical argumentation, academic writing, and other competencies developed are transferable to non-academic professions. Many alumni secure roles in governmental agencies at various levels, where their master's-level education is highly regarded.
