The Infrastructure Protection and International Security program merges the distinct expertise of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering with the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs, offering an interdisciplinary curriculum. This program integrates fundamental concepts of critical infrastructure engineering and multi-hazard risk evaluation with an understanding of policy frameworks governing security operations. Qualification Requirements

The minimum requirement for admission into the M.Eng. I.P.I.S. is a B.Eng. degree or equivalent. Students will normally be expected to have a B+ average (or higher) to be considered for admission.

Students without a background in the social sciences or policy work in the Canadian context will be required to complete IPIS 5002 [0.0] Policy Primer, which will be in addition to the regular degree requirements and is to be completed in the first fall term in which the student is registered.

IELTS - Overall 6.5 (minimum 6.0 in each band).
TOEFL iBT - 86 (20 in reading and listening, 22 in speaking and writing)
TOEFL PBT - overall score of 580.
