This internationally-oriented, cross-disciplinary program provides education in critical, theoretical, and historical perspectives on cinema and new media technologies. Participants gain analytical thinking skills and clear communication abilities while building expertise in film history, artistic expression, and cinema's role in society and culture. The program features faculty specialists in diverse areas including global film traditions (such as Asian, African, European, Canadian and American cinema), philosophical approaches to film, cinematic history, documentary media, digital gaming and interactive technologies, gender and sexuality studies, and audio research.
