Our Master of Applied Science (MASc) program meets industry and societal demands in information technology, equipping students with essential skills for success in this fast-changing domain. The degree offers two specializations: Networking Technology (NET) with dual tracks and Digital Media (DM).

NET students will focus on computer network design, administration, and maintenance. The program enhances research capabilities via coursework and project work. NET features two options: a thesis-based Master of Applied Science in Networking Technology and a course-based Master of Networking Technology.

Qualification Requirements

Students entering the program will have an undergraduate degree in network technology, electrical engineering, computer science, engineering, or a closely-related discipline. All students will apply for the 5.0-credit program. Applicants with substantial professional experience in network technology in Canada may be considered for admission to professional entry, requiring them to complete 4.0 credits, to be determined by the School of Information Technology and the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs. IELTS - Overall 6.5 (minimum 6.0 in each band). TOEFL iBT - 86 (20 in reading and listening; 22 in speaking and writing) TOEFL PBT - overall score of 580.
