Government policies shape nearly every facet of our daily existence. The choices made (or avoided) by governing bodies impact both the pace of climate change and our capacity to adjust. These decisions determine societal wealth distribution and economic disparity. They govern our opportunities for securing shelter, obtaining education, and receiving healthcare. Such policies also define Canada's international position and its approach to worldwide issues. Enrolled in the Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management (BPAPM) program, you'll explore the mechanisms and motivations behind governmental policy formation. You'll gain expertise in governmental structures and analytical techniques to actively participate in policy development.
The BPAPM curriculum enhances your competencies by merging cross-disciplinary examination of civic systems with intensive policy studies. A blend of political science, economics, legal studies, communication, and historical coursework complements specialized policy classes. This integrated approach equips you with thorough insight into governmental, nonprofit, and corporate operations - their purposes, methods, and potential improvements.
