Tackling real-world policy issues demands interdisciplinary approaches to examine problems, identify optimal solutions, and choose the most effective strategies. The Public Policy undergraduate Major offers Social Science students a distinctive chance to adopt cross-disciplinary thinking, incorporating theories, methodologies, and analytical tools from core fields like Economics and Political Science, among others. This program equips students with both theoretical and practical policy analysis skills, along with strong quantitative and research foundations. The Public Policy Major is a collaborative offering between the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, the Economics Department, and the Political Science Department. Enrollment is available after completing first or second year, with students required to fulfill prerequisites for all upper-year courses. This joint program is administered by the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy, the Economics Department, and the Political Science Department, with admission possible after first year provided students meet all prerequisite requirements for advanced coursework.
