Carleton's Bachelor of Architectural Studies emphasizes knowledge, hands-on experience, creative thinking, and imagination. This program inspires students to develop concepts through practical creation, assess ideas in relation to human experiences, and express innovation via writing, model construction, sketching, digital tools, and presentations.
The Azrieli School of Architecture and Urbanism at Carleton grants the pre-professional Bachelor of Architectural Studies (BAS) degree after successfully completing the four-year curriculum.
This BAS degree also serves as strong preparation for various design-related careers or advanced studies in urban planning, conservation, or sustainable design.

The curriculum establishes a comprehensive groundwork for architectural education. Students will enroll in architecture, design, drawing, and multimedia courses, alongside required studies in engineering, art history, and social sciences.
