Our careers shape how we allocate much of our daily time and significantly influence our social standing, financial stability, and personal identity. They also mold the character of our communities and economic systems, as these are built upon the collective work of individuals. Workforce reorganization, technological advancements, skill requirement shifts, evolving employment laws, job market divisions, women's roles in the workplace, and equity issues are among the topics that drive academic exploration in Labour Studies.
This interdisciplinary field offers engaging courses such as Sports Labor, Employment Legislation, Working Animals, and our hands-on Negotiation Simulation class.
The program blends theoretical knowledge with practical applications, equipping students for diverse career paths in industrial relations, workplace development, government policy, and social activism.
Students can opt for a specialized Labour Studies program or combine it with Political Science, Sociology, History, Geography, Economics, or Gender Studies as a dual major.
