The program provides an extensive selection of language courses spanning from introductory to advanced levels, covering translation theory and practice, Italian regional studies, and language teaching methodologies. Students can explore Italian literature, culture, film, art, and architecture, with certain courses available in English for non-majors. You'll engage with renowned figures like Dante, Petrarch, Machiavelli, Pirandello, Eco, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, De Sica, Fellini, and Bertolucci. With intimate upper-level classes and cutting-edge multimedia facilities, the program guarantees an exceptional, tailored educational journey. Alongside Italian-taught courses, the Department provides English-language options (marked SCLC) that may count toward an Italian degree.

Applicants must have
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD);
Minimum six Grade 12 4U or 4M-level credits, including program specific prerequisites.
A minimum admission average of 70% (many programs require a higher average)

IELP Level 5 - Successful completion of Level 5 of the Brock Intensive English Language program
