The study of classics and classical archaeology delves into ancient Greek and Roman civilizations, shedding light on the roots of modern artistic expressions, literary customs, and societal structures.
Within our Classics and Archaeology Department, students investigate ancient languages, historical events, artistic creations, and archaeological findings through multifaceted approaches that foster deep connections with antiquity.
We provide diverse hands-on learning experiences, from recreating historical banquets to museum curation and archaeological fieldwork both at Brock University and internationally. During summer sessions, students can participate in Mediterranean excavation projects and cultural study trips to experience ancient artifacts and traditions firsthand.
