Within our Classics and Archaeology Department, students investigate ancient languages, historical events, artistic expressions, and archaeological findings through multifaceted approaches to the classical world.
We provide diverse hands-on learning experiences, from recreating historical cuisine to museum curation and archaeological fieldwork both locally and abroad. During summer months, students can participate in Mediterranean excavation projects and cultural study tours for direct engagement with ancient artifacts and traditions.
Our Ancient Art and Archaeology program investigates Mediterranean civilizations through the dual lenses of archaeological anthropology and art historical analysis.
