The Peace and Development Studies program focuses on power imbalances and unequal opportunities that contribute to global and local disputes, uneven economic growth, societal instability, and ecological harm. This discipline explores root causes of racial and gender-based violence, environmental emergencies, involuntary displacement, economic deprivation, competition over resources, and disparities between generations.

Students will learn analytical frameworks and practical approaches for recognizing, assessing, and addressing disputes and environmental deterioration. Positive approaches encompass fostering autonomy, eco-conscious practices, reconciliation techniques, and dispute mediation methods.

The curriculum centers on three core areas: systemic disparities, fairness and fundamental freedoms; economic progress and ecological balance; along with conflict resolution and crisis intervention measures.
