At UOW, Science Education focuses on mastering scientific concepts and developing effective teaching methods. Future science educators will guide students in exploring the physical and natural world through hands-on experiments and careful observation. Graduates from UOW's program gain both deep scientific understanding and practical classroom expertise.
This program prepares you for a career as a secondary school science teacher. Throughout your studies, you'll engage in substantial teaching placements, enabling you to observe experienced educators and practice your skills in real classrooms. Additional opportunities may include teaching experiences in rural or international settings, study abroad programs with UOW's global partners, and participation in cultural immersion initiatives.
Prospective students with an ATAR exceeding 80 and Band 5 achievement in at least one science subject may qualify for one of UOW's five Science Secondary Education Scholarships.
