Earning a Bachelor of International Studies combined with a Bachelor of Laws from UOW gives you an extensive legal foundation: a top-tier program offering deep legal knowledge alongside practical skills training and an understanding of law's societal and ethical dimensions.

Pairing Law with International Studies enables exploration and understanding of our interconnected world. It investigates how politics, culture, language, and history interact across nations and their global ties. This dual degree creates international career pathways across government, corporate, and nonprofit fields, preparing graduates for today's multicultural, globalized workforce.

Practical training forms a crucial component of legal education at UOW. As the sole NSW law school mandating legal internships, we offer unparalleled professional experience.

Our program emphasizes social justice and examines law's complex relationship with society.

This combined degree provides hands-on, contextual legal training that readies graduates not just for legal practice but for diverse leadership roles in government, business, and community organizations - shaping future innovators and problem-solvers.

The International Studies-Law program covers required legal competencies while offering elective options. An integrated skills curriculum develops capabilities in legal research, drafting, advocacy, and negotiation, with opportunities for international study exchanges.

International Studies core courses include Introduction to International Studies, Research Methods, Political Studies, and a Senior Seminar. Second-year students select either International Relations or Global Sustainable Development as their specialization, with encouragement to participate in overseas study programs.
