An organization's greatest asset is its people. Human Resource Management (HRM) involves recruiting the best talent for a company and fostering their growth to encourage retention and peak performance. Beyond financial metrics, HRM emphasizes motivation, worker wellness, ethical considerations, human rights, and how principled leadership affects communities.
Your first year will provide a comprehensive foundation in all key business areas, offering insights into contemporary organizational challenges. Starting in year two, you'll specialize in Human Resource Management, learning about workforce dynamics through HRM principles and applications. Potential career paths encompass HR leadership, consulting, labor relations, talent acquisition, training coordination, occupational safety, and professional development roles.
Your final year will feature an integrative capstone project where you'll collaborate with peers from various fields to implement your accumulated knowledge. Additionally, you can opt for an internship program to earn academic credit while gaining practical experience.
Special attention is given to talent acquisition strategies, enhancing employee productivity, and overseeing hiring processes, staff retention, and attrition rates. The curriculum explores key HR functions including talent sourcing, corporate culture analysis, labor relations, change implementation, skills development, and occupational health protocols.
Graduates of the Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management) can pursue advanced business degrees with potential credit transfers of up to four subjects, potentially completing a master's program in one year. This pathway allows earning both undergraduate and graduate degrees within a four-year timeframe.
Applicants need to have achieved the required score in a qualification equivalent to the completion of 13 years of schooling in Australia.
In order to succeed in your chosen course, it is assumed you have completed relevant subjects in your senior high school studies or other relevant qualifications. This is particularly important for degrees which have a strong basis in Mathematics or Science.
