Newly qualified podiatrists typically find employment in private practices, clinics, or hospital settings, where they encounter diverse cases involving foot and lower limb issues frequently linked to other health concerns. Numerous practitioners choose to specialize in particular aspects of podiatric care, including sports injury management, biomechanical assessment, high-risk foot treatment, or pediatric and geriatric foot conditions. As autonomous healthcare professionals, podiatrists are authorized to conduct minor surgical procedures, request diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications essential for treating foot-related disorders.
