Under the guidance of expert tutors, you'll gain hands-on experience treating patients while observing general and specialist dentists manage diverse dental cases. Upon graduation, you'll qualify for immediate registration with the Dental Board of Australia and begin your dental career.
The program comprises 20 units organized into specialized streams: comprehensive clinical care, Developmental & Behavioral Sciences, Diagnostic & Surgical Sciences, and Restorative & Rehabilitative Sciences. Core DMD modules focus on essential dental and medical sciences, while clinical practice modules address patient care, preventive dentistry, restorative procedures, and pediatric dental health. Early clinical experience begins in first year with dental immersion activities and simulation exercises. Your third year includes a research component, while the final year features supervised independent practice with mandatory rotations in rural and private settings.
The facility boasts modern digital radiology equipment and a centralized production lab with advanced CAD/CAM technology. Students access dedicated high-performance computers in the Virtual Learning Center (VLC) for digital design work, which also features complete digital radiology and virtual microscopy capabilities.
