In their first year, students explore science communication, digital ethics, and Indigenous knowledge. The second-year core units delve into sex and gender studies, evolutionary theory, bioethics, and philosophy of science. The program culminates in third year with specialized studies in genetics and society, scientific exhibitions, and a thematic capstone unit.
UWA's Science and Technology in Society major combines philosophy, biological sciences, Indigenous studies, science communication, and gender studies to develop critical analysis of scientific concepts, policies, and implementations.
