UTS's Bachelor of Criminology prepares students for the changing world of crime and justice in today's digital, globalized era. Designed for both career starters and professionals looking to upgrade their skills, this program offers specializations in forensics, data analysis, or legal justice studies.
Through a balanced curriculum, students gain expertise in these focus areas while developing practical social science skills crucial for careers in crime prevention, law enforcement, and addressing societal impacts of criminal activity.
The program combines theoretical learning with hands-on experience through core subjects, specialized majors, and potential dual degrees with Forensic Science and International Studies - meeting industry demands for practical criminology skills in our increasingly digital and interconnected world.
Career Paths
Graduates can pursue roles including law enforcement positions (police, corrections, border control), crime analysis (policy, prevention, cyber security), intelligence work, or security consulting (ICT, fraud prevention, digital security).
Applicants must have completed an Australian Year 12 qualification, Australian Qualifications Framework Diploma, or equivalent Australian or overseas qualification at the required level.
Academic IELTS- 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0, or TOEFL- paper based- 550-583 overall with TWE of 4.5, internet based- 79-93 overall with a writing score of 21, or AE5- Pass, or C1A/C2P- 176-184 with a writing score of 169.
