Designed for diverse applicants, the program fosters an interdisciplinary approach to urban studies with urban design specialization, applicable to careers in development, policy formulation, and built environment design.
Through integrated core courses, you'll explore fundamental concepts addressing the multifaceted aspects that shape the planning, policymaking, and urbanization processes of tomorrow's cities.
Within the Master of Urbanism, the Urban Design specialization offers participation in a key studio course, cultivating leadership abilities and advanced knowledge in urban design with a focus on sustainable solutions, measurable outcomes, and practical application.
Admission to the Master of Urbanism requires:
a bachelor's degree in design, human geography or related field from the University of Sydney, or an equivalent qualification; or
completion of an approved graduate Diploma course.
IELTS score: A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
TOEFL - IBT score: A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
Pearsons Test of English: A minimum result of 61 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
