Designed for graduates holding a bachelor's degree in human geography, design, or similar disciplines, this course delivers professional training in urban and regional planning. It's particularly suitable for alumni of the Bachelor of Architecture and Environments program.
Through the Graduate Certificate in Urban and Regional Planning, students gain core competencies and knowledge for professional planning careers. The curriculum explores fundamental planning theories and discussions while developing practical skills needed for professional practice.
Key study areas encompass urban planning history and theory, planning processes, and legal frameworks. The program examines both Australian and global planning contexts.
Admission to this course requires:
bachelor's degree from the University of Sydney, or an equivalent qualification.
Graduate Certificate students may apply to upgrade to the Diploma or Masters at the completion of their program (with a weighted average mark of at least 70).
IELTS score: A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
TOEFL - IBT score: A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
Pearsons Test of English: A minimum result of 61 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
