The Master of International Ophthalmology offers advanced specialized training for clinicians in developing regions, focusing on prevalent eye diseases and conditions in their home countries.
Designed for medical graduates and eye care professionals, particularly from the Asia-Pacific area, this program enhances skills in diagnosing and treating common ocular disorders, diseases, and trauma.
Students in the Master of International Ophthalmology program choose between two pathways:
the Community Ophthalmology track, tailored for medical graduates with minimal ophthalmology training from regions lacking specialized eye care services,
or the Vocational Ophthalmology track, intended for those who've finished specialized ophthalmology training in their home country.
The curriculum requires completion of six core units (36 credit points) in either community or post-vocational ophthalmology, plus a 12-credit treatise as a culminating project.
