Geography explores our planet as humanity's habitat. With growing challenges like environmental decline, sustainability concerns, demographic shifts, and globalization, geographers' expertise has become increasingly vital.
A geography major examines the dynamic relationships between Earth's systems, ecological environments, and human communities. This includes investigating pressing matters such as climate shifts, demographic trends, natural disasters, and conservation strategies. Students gain hands-on experience through international field excursions and domestic urban/rural expeditions, while debating critical topics like worldwide economic disparities. The curriculum also incorporates digital mapping tools, data analysis software, and virtual learning platforms.
The combined Bachelor of Science and Master of Nutrition and Dietetics offers comprehensive training in food science and qualifies graduates for professional dietetics practice. Students undertake foundational science courses, specialized nutrition studies including a Nutrition Science major, plus supplementary studies from related disciplines. The program includes flexible elective options to fulfill degree requirements.
Upon achieving a credit average in the Bachelor of Science, students advance to the Master's program, which combines advanced nutrition coursework, clinical placements, and research components to develop professional competencies.
