This dynamic dual degree serves as your gateway to an international career in creative and cultural arts. Situated alongside the prestigious Monash University Museum of Art (MUMA), you'll collaborate with Australia's leading artists, art theorists, and cultural experts. Our Bachelor of Arts offers 40 specialized study areas, spanning languages, social sciences, media studies, political science, human rights, and global affairs, allowing you to cultivate deep expertise in your chosen disciplines. Graduates earn two distinct degrees: either a Bachelor of Art History and Curating or a combined Bachelor of Fine Art and Bachelor of Arts. This comprehensive preparation enables careers in either field or their intersection. The Art History and Curating specialization deepens your artistic comprehension through exhibition development and practical curatorial internships.

Human geography examines the evolving relationship between societies and their surroundings. This major addresses pressing global issues like urban expansion, ecological crises, climate impacts, poverty, unequal development, and social disparities. Merging geographical, social, and sustainability studies, it equips students with interdisciplinary analytical tools to develop sustainable responses. Through critical analysis and fieldwork, students build research competencies for professional roles in urban planning, community development, and environmental conservation. Graduates are prepared for sustainability-focused positions across government agencies, NGOs, research institutions, infrastructure organizations, and environmental groups, as well as educational roles in geography and social-environmental studies.
