This 18-month course equips physiotherapists with advanced expertise in musculoskeletal or sports physiotherapy, taught by globally recognized instructors, scientists, and practitioners. You'll enhance your clinical decision-making abilities to increase treatment efficacy, achieve better patient results, and expand professional prospects.
Throughout the curriculum, you'll gain deeper insights into evidence-based approaches, biomedical sciences, pain management, and therapeutic exercise. Your learning will progress through rigorous academic study, research projects, and hands-on clinical training. During practical placements, you'll receive guidance from expert clinical mentors while refining your competencies through immediate peer evaluation and constructive criticism.
Offering adaptable study formats, the program includes part-time, on-campus, and online options to accommodate your work schedule. The concluding four subjects can be completed intensively in one semester (full-time) or spread over two semesters (part-time). Additionally, you may pursue a dual master's qualification in the complementary specialization by undertaking one extra semester of full-time study.
To be eligible for entry, you'll need:
a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in physiotherapy, plus 2 years full-time equivalent, relevant professional experience and evidence of continuing professional education, or
equivalent qualifications and experience.
You must have a grade point average (GPA) of 4.0 on a 7-point scale in your previous qualification.
Entry is competitive based on GPA. The GPA cut-off for those offered a place in 2021 was 5.12.Entry is competitive with a limited intake capacity.
