This program offers an accredited fourth-year Honours degree in psychology, covering advanced psychological topics along with an Honours research thesis.
Considering diverse perspectives and adhering to current legal and ethical standards, graduates will apply psychological expertise to competently meet the following Program Learning Outcomes.
Upon completing the program, students will have: Achieved foundational competencies. Developed interpersonal and communication skills suitable for psychological practice and research, including active listening, clarifying, questioning, summarising, rapport-building, cultural sensitivity, and empathy. Gained proficiency in basic assessment techniques for psychological practice, including knowledge of psychometric theory and the use of standardized psychological tests. Understood the application of fundamental psychological interventions across various contexts. Explored a significant research question relevant to the field of psychology.
