The Honors program offers exceptional Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine students an opportunity to excel. Pursuing Honors serves as a crucial foundation for professional leadership and research exploration. This program fosters self-directed learning, enhances research capabilities, and allows for in-depth study within the primary discipline. Recognized as valuable preparation for postgraduate research, the training equips students for careers in research, development, and analysis across various sectors. Applicants can enroll in the Honors program during their third year, commencing advanced research training in the latter semester. The fourth year involves clinical placements and completing an honors thesis focused on addressing practical podiatric challenges and lifelong education. Students will work under the guidance of seasoned academic researchers throughout their research journey.
Admission is through direct application to the university - applications are directed to the School of Health Sciences. 
Students must have completed 200 units in the first 2.5 years of the Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine program and achieved a GPA of 5.0 or greater. Students with a GPA in the range of 4.5-5.0 and a credit average in subjects completed in Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine levels 2 and 3 may also be considered.
