The Honours program serves as an additional year of study beyond the standard undergraduate degree. This program requires either one year of full-time study or two years of part-time study. Courses are structured across two semesters annually. Students undertake a research project on a subject chosen in collaboration with their supervisor. Additionally, the program includes skill-building components to enhance research capabilities and thesis writing. Honours is valued by employers and serves as a pathway to research-oriented careers.
To be admitted into the program applicants must have completed the [UG PROGRAM] or another cognate degree with a minimum GPA of 5.0 in:
all studies undertaken in the program; or
across a major in the proposed discipline of study; or
across 80 units of 3000 level courses (which must include at least 40 units of 3000 level courses in the major where a major exists); or
where the applicant has completed less than 80 units at 3000 level, a GPA of 5.5 calculated from at least 60 units of 3000 level courses (which must include at least 40 units of 3000 level courses in the major where a major exists).
TOEFL paper-based test score of 500; TOEFL internet-based score of 60; IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0; PTE GSE score of 50; Cambridge English: Advanced score of 52.
