The Master of Teaching (Primary) at UNSW stands out as Australia's sole postgraduate program of its kind, offering an accelerated pathway to becoming a primary school educator. This innovative two-year equivalent qualification can be finished in just 1.3 years through full-time study across four terms. Created in collaboration with the NSW Department of Education and regional primary school communities, and officially recognized by the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA), our program prepares graduates to teach from kindergarten through year six in various educational settings, including public and private schools across Australia and internationally. You'll gain the essential knowledge and competencies to fulfill the Australian graduate teacher standards. Our faculty combines academic experts with practicing primary educators to deliver foundational education courses and specialized teaching methods across all six core primary curriculum areas: English, Mathematics, Science and Technology, History and Geography, Creative Arts, and Personal Development, Health and Physical Education.
A recognised three year Bachelor's degree with a major, consisting of at least six units of undergraduate study with no more than two at first year and at least two at third year, in one key learning area, and at least two units of study in one or more other key learning areas. Entry into the Master of Teaching (Primary) requires a WAM of 60 or higher.

IELTS: : 7.5 overall (min 7.0 in writing & reading, 8.0 in speaking & listening); TOEFL IBT (Internet Based): 102 overall (min. 27 in writing, 24 in reading, 28 in listening, 26 in speaking); Pearson (PTE - Academic): 73 overall (min. 65 in writing and reading, 79 in listening and speaking); C1 Advanced Cambridge: 191 overall (min. 185 in writing and reading, 200 in speaking and listening); C2 Proficiency Cambridge: 191 overall (min. 185 in writing and reading, 200 in speaking and listening).
