The Graduate Certificate in Food Science is tailored for graduates from relevant fields looking to enhance their expertise in this domain. Through this program, you'll expand your technical understanding and problem-solving abilities in food science while gaining insights into the agrifood industry, alongside meeting professional certification requirements and boosting career prospects. Our curriculum offers methods and resources to improve productivity and effectiveness, along with opportunities to collaborate with peers in the field. The Graduate Diploma also serves as a stepping stone to the Master of Food Science program.
In order to be admitted to the program a student would be expected to hold a 3 or 4-year Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering with a minimum 65% average (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university or tertiary institution. Those without such a qualification are required to argue their prior learning is equivalent to this qualification. For example, a 3 or 4 year Bachelor of Science or Engineering combined with relevant discipline experience (exact positions and roles that will be considered relevant to be decided by each specialisation) may be recognised.
