This Program focuses on PhD research in Indigenous Studies provided by Nura Gili Indigenous Programs Unit. Indigenous Studies represents an interdisciplinary academic area that critically examines and expands upon previous knowledge of Indigenous communities, originally shaped by anthropology, archaeology, and linguistics from Western perspectives. Exploring the current circumstances of Indigenous Australians also connects these topics to scholarly investigation across diverse fields including Australian history, literature, visual arts, education, psychology, political science, public policy, sociology, legal studies, social work, medical sciences, healthcare, and environmental studies.
